Millendreath Beach

Location:
South East Cornwall.
Description:
Millendreath Beach is a pleasant sandy beach with rock pools. There is a slipway, but the slipway is private and boats can only be launched with permission. At low tide a much larger sandy beach can be accessed to the east of the breakwater. The facilities have been improved at Millendreath recently and there is now a café and toilets by the sea front.
Safety:
East of the breakwater there is a risk of being stranded at high tide. See Beach Safety Guide.
Access:
There is a short slipway to Millendreath Beach from the road. From the car park there is a short level walk to the beach.
Dogs:
Dogs are banned on Millendreath Beach 1st May to 30th September, 10am to 6pm.
Directions:
Millendreath is approximately 18 miles from Plymouth. Take the A38 from Plymouth. At Trerulefoot, turn onto the A374 (signposted to Looe). After approximately 1 mile, turn right onto the A387 (again signposted to Looe). At Widegates the A387 becomes the B3253 for Looe. After several miles, look out for a left turning signposted to Millendreath. Follow this road down to Millendreath Beach.
