Maenporth Beach

Description:
Maenporth Beach is a pleasant sheltered sandy beach to the south of Falmouth. There is a large expanse of sand at low tide. Parking is on the beach. There is good coast path walking from Maenporth north to Falmouth and south to Rosemullion Head.
Safety:
Signs warn of strong currents and risk of being cut off by tides. Also do not use inflatables in strong winds and do not swim when the sea is rough. See Beach Safety Guide.

The car park at Maenporth is on the beach.
Dogs:
Dogs are banned on Maenporth Beach from 1st July to 31st August (10am to 6pm).
Directions:
Falmouth is about 10 miles from Truro. From east or west take the A390 to Truro and at Truro follow the directions for Falmouth on the A39. Approaching Falmouth, pass the reservoir and then at the next roundabout (the Hillhead Roundabout) turn right (signposted to Mawnan Smith). Continue on this road for about 3 miles to reach Maenporth.
