Padstow is a picturesque harbour town on the western banks of the Camel Estuary. To the north of Padstow and accessible by the coast path is a super stretch of sand from St Georges Cove to Harbour Cove and Hawkers Cove. Dogs banned at St Georges Cove in summer

Par Sands is a wide sandy beach popular with families. There is a huge expanse of sand at low tide and there is still some sand left at high tide. Facilities are close to the beach. Dogs allowed all year. Par Sands Details

Pendower Beach is the west part of a huge sandy beach about 1 mile long in Gerrans Bay. Dogs allowed all year (on leads)

Pentewan Sands is a wide sandy beach with a disused harbour. The beach is private but access is allowed from Pentewan village. Note that the Pentewan village car park is very small. Dogs banned for most of the year

West Cornwall
Penzance is a large seaside town with many facilities. To the north of Penzance harbour is a sandy beach (called Eastern Green) which stretches to Marazion at low tide. To the south west of the harbour there is a pebble & sand beach by the promenade. There is also an outdoor swimming pool by Penzance seafront. Dogs banned in summer. Penzance Details

North Cornwall
Perranporth is a popular seaside town with a huge sandy beach which stretches 2 miles to the north. There are also extensive sand dunes and all the expected facilities at Perranporth. Dogs allowed all year. Perranporth Details

West Cornwall
Perranuthnoe Beach is a wide sandy beach close to the village of Perranuthnoe. The beach is also known as Perran Sands. Note that there is little sand left at high tide. Dogs banned in summer

Piskies Cove is a picturesque cove with two small sandy beaches separated by rocks. There is no sand at high tide. No facilities or parking. Park at Bessy Cove and walk the coast path west (the walk takes about 15 minutes). Dogs allowed all year

Plaidy Beach is a small but pleasant sandy beach with many rock pools. However, there are no facilities or car parking. Dogs allowed all year

Mid Cornwall
Polkerris is a small village with a stone quay and a pleasant curved sandy beach which can be quite busy in summer. There is also another small beach called Booley Beach which can be reached via a ten minute walk on the coast path. Dogs banned in summer. Polkerris Details

SE Cornwall
Polperro is a picturesque working fishing village with a small sandy beach beyond the harbour wall. There is also a tidal pool below the cliffs. In Polperro village there is much to see and there are plenty of gift shops and restaurants

Mid Cornwall
Polridmouth is a pleasant cove with two sandy beaches, which are joined together at low tide. There are no facilities or toilets and parking is some distance away from the beach at Polridmouth. Dogs allowed all year

Lizard
Polurrian Cove is a large perfect sandy beach but with no parking, facilities or toilets. Park at Mullion Cove or Poldhu Cove and walk the coast path to Polurrian Cove, taking about 20 minutes. Dogs banned in summer

Polstreath is a wide sand and pebble beach which is reached via the coast path. Parking, facilities and toilets are at Mevagissey. Dogs allowed all year
